SOUDIO has been imagined as a three-phase project, with each cycle building on the experiences of the previous stages. CYCLE I included a total of six artists and two patrons, all of whom identified as femme. Considering that women hold approximately 33% of the world’s wealth, CYCLE II presents an opportunity to redistribute the responsibility of support onto individuals with the most access to resources: white cis-gender men.

An overview of CYCLE II is provided below, along with brief video documentation of the inaugural production RE$IDENCY at St. Olaf College in Northfield Minnesota. Additionally, a study published in 2022 provides context for this particular composition shift and can be found HERE.

SOUDIO_ Cycle II Overview 

  • Participating SOUDIO II ARTISTS + PATRONS to be confirmed by June 15, 2025.  

  • Active contributions for SOUDIO II are from July 2025 - June 2026.  (12 Months)

  • Monthly contributions are DUE by the LAST MONDAY of each month, via the SOUDIO CashApp. 

  • ARTIST PAYOUTS will be delivered by the FIRST MONDAY of the following QUARTER via their individual CashApp profiles.  

  • Note: PATRONS do not receive a portion of the PAYOUT, instead they will receive a limited edition PRINT PORTFOLIO that includes the work of the participating ARTISTS.  

  • A PRODUCTION RE$IDENCY is scheduled for Winter 2027.  

  • DELIVERY of the resulting PORTFOLIO is scheduled for JUNE 2027.

  • All participating ARTISTS are Black and Femme.

  • All participating PATRONS are White Cis-Gender Men.
